Privacy Policy

This explains what Shedeck Woodworks (Albany, Oregon) collects through shedeckwoodworks.com and how it is used. We do not sell your personal information.

What we collect and why

• Custom order requests: your name, email and the project details you type in. Used only to reply to you and carry out your request. The request is emailed to us.
• Purchases: at checkout, Stripe collects your name, email, phone number, shipping address and payment details. We receive your name, email, phone, shipping address and what you bought, but not your full card number. Used to fulfil, ship and support your order, and for our tax and accounting records.
• Shipping: to buy a shipping label we send your name, address, email and phone to Shippo and the carrier (USPS).
• Site activity (analytics): we count visits to understand how the site is used: pages viewed, add-to-cart and checkout clicks, the website you came from, and campaign tags in links. This uses a random anonymous ID stored in your browser (local and session storage, not cookies). We do not store your IP address or tie this ID to your name. Nothing is recorded if your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control.
• Accounts (optional): if you create an account we store your email and a password (hashed) and link your orders to it so you can see your purchase history. Accounts are provided through Supabase. You can check out as a guest instead.
• Cart: your cart is stored in your own browser (local storage) so it is remembered between pages. It is not sent to us until you check out. Clearing your browser data removes it.
• Server logs: our host, Vercel, may log technical data such as IP address and browser type to deliver and secure the site.

This website does not use advertising trackers or third-party analytics, and we do not use your information to send marketing email.

Who we share it with

Only the service providers needed to run the shop: Stripe (payments), Shippo and USPS (shipping), Vercel (hosting), Supabase (database and accounts), and our email provider (receiving custom order requests). They handle data under their own privacy policies. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep order records as long as needed for taxes, accounting and disputes (business records are generally kept for several years), and custom order emails as long as needed to handle your request and for a reasonable period after.

Your choices

You can ask us to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, subject to records we must keep by law. Use the contact form.

Children

This website is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Security

Payments are handled by Stripe. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes

We may update this policy and will change the date above when we do.
